The September launch from Apple left us with no other option but to drool over the latest release of their product of which the Apple Watch Series 7 is amongst.
Ranging from iPhone to iPad and down to watch, I don’t think I’d ever get over their product (not now, not in the next life).
It makes a lot of sense to have your interest tailored in a particular space, it kinda gives you so much energy to pump in your passion into what matters most to you. Well, scratch that, today isn’t the day for motivational quotes, save for later.
If someone had told you some years ago that you would be able to own a watch that could monitor your heart rate and count your steps and tell you some magical things to help improve your health, truth is, you would have shrugged off the person in just one glance.
However, technology has made it possible for almost every individual who desires to have that but in exchange for some cash hence, the invention of the iWatch from Apple.

The Apple watch series 7 comes with a bigger screen with little to no expansion in the dimensions of the watch and this was achieved by reducing the borders by about 40% thus leaving about 20% screen area more than series 6 (about 50% more than series 3).
It has an always-on retina display which means the display is always on and you don’t need to touch the screen to check the time or any other information.
The edge of the series 7 is smooth and continuous and the buttons have been redesigned to make apps like timer, stopwatch, and calculator easier.
The series 7 is water-resistant having a swimproof with WR50. A redesign was made in the front crystal as it is seen to have a flat base, giving it a robust shape and making it more resistant to cracks.
The front crystal is twice as thick as the series 6 thus making it stronger and durable. It is dust resistant with an IP6X certification.
Also, the touch sensor has been incorporated into the OLED panel, making it a single component thus compressing the thickness and borders of the display.
It comes with a fast-charging USB-C cable and it takes about 45 minutes to charge from zero to 80%.
The most intriguing part of series 7 is the fact that you can measure your blood oxygen level using the sensor and app. This is a jaw-breaking innovation regarding health as you want to know how well oxygen is getting into your body.
However, you can check your heart rate and take an electrocardiogram (ECG) no matter your location. The Series 7 comes with a built-in technology that has the capacity of producing an ECG corresponding to a single lead ECG. So, that’s a goodbye to ECG wires clipped to your torso.
The built-in electrode in the digital crown works in sync with the ECG app to help read the electrical signals of your heart.
So, how does this work? Quite simple. It requires you to touch the digital crown for 30 seconds to generate an ECG waveform. The ECG app then indicates if the rhythm of your heart shows an irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation) or a normal rhythm (sinus rhythm). Awesome, right? you bet!
In addition, you can monitor your sleep by helping you schedule a bedtime routine. Plus, it’d help keep records of your respiratory rate while sleeping thus improving your health.
Apple Watch Series 7 45mm or 41 mm – which should you buy?
While there is no significant difference in features or functions between both watches, the difference lies mainly in the screen size and price.
The series 7 watch 45mm has the largest screen on the Apple watch list so far and has a bigger case size with a display size of 396 × 484 pixels with starting price of $429.
However, the 41mm is smaller than the 45mm in terms of screen size, with a display of 352 × 430 pixels and it’s pretty much comfy on a smaller wrist.
Another difference is seen in the weight: For the 45mm weight, the aluminum finishing has 38.80 grams, 51.5 grams for stainless steel finishing, and 45.2 grams for titanium finishing.
For the series 7 watch 41mm, the aluminum finishing has 32.0 grams, 42.5 grams for stainless steel finishing, and 37.0 grams for its titanium finishing with its starting price at $399.
The specific brands of the 41mm watch are the modern buckle and the Hermes Attelage Double Tour. While the 45mm-specific bands include the silver link bracelet, space black bracelet, Hermes Attelage Single Tour, and the Hermes Single Tour Deployment Buckle.
On the whole, if you’re big on large screen size and you don’t mind wearing something a bit weighty on your wrist and pricey, then the 45mm series 7 watch is your best bet. However, if you’re averse to big or weighty and also considering cutting costs, then the 41 mm is just right for you.
