Purchased about a month ago. Took a while to get to me. What i have found is....
The vent mount is pretty good, if you have close spacing between the vent louvers. 2025 Toyota Tundra does not, so the base that goes against the vent is a little to short to reach across 3 fins. So, this makes it fairly unstable. I have also found that when I first attach my phone to it, it charges then stops, charges then stops, charges then stops....it does this about 4-8 times, before it stays charging. Then after it stays charging, if I am running my navigation app....my battery still depleted. It goes down slower than no charging at all, but I thought this would do better, as it claims to be 25w. This could be a gimmick number, I don't know. What I do know, is that i lose battery percentage if I am using any app while charging on the magnetic base. So, I just plug it in via cable, and it does just fine, with the supplied cable and lighter port. Those work fabulously. The magnetic hold is great I have to peel my phone away from it, which I love....if the base held better to my vent. Hope this helps both the buyer AND the manufacturer.
I've always had trouble with suction-based mounts. I live in a hot country, and when the day gets particularly warm, I always find that those suction mounts have fallen off when I get to my car.
I've also always had trouble with vent mounts. My car doesn't have a vent down the middle; they're always kinda tilting to the sides. Most vent mounts just stick out, so they're almost never useful to me, because I can't use my phone from those angles.
*This* particular mount, however, is a vent mount with an *arm*. This means that it can work around weird AC vent positioning, and let me tell you, this mount works like a dream. It's stable, positions well, and the magnetic charging works as advertised. I've had this for a few days now, and haven't had a single problem.
