iPad Air 11” (2025) Rebound Magnetic Keyboard Case 360 - US Layout-Black
Best part of this case/keyboard is it offers full protection of the ipad, allows pencil to charge and covers the pencil from accidentally being knocked off. That aligned with a decent Magic Keyboard knockoff that offers good typing is backlit and supports ipad in a stable laptop position without a goofy kickstand. That all said, the case and keyboard add a LOT of weight. There is no power pass through, Some of the ipad mac function keys don’t seem to function. There is a delay waking up the keyboard and you have to put it back to sleep if you detach the ipad and want to type on screen. The exterior material feels kind of cheap and slippery. It’s a decent product and offeres much more protection than apple’s Magic Keyboard at a much lower price which make this a good purchase. It does come with some compromise.
When I purchased my iPad Air, I decided not to get the Apple keyboard option. The price was high and it lacked any protection for the ipad when disconnected from the keyboard. The ESR rebound case and keyboard came to my attention. Being that it was bluetooth instead of direct connect, I was a bit wary. But the price was excellent, AND it offered the ability to use the ipad in not just landscape but also portrait (and even remote) mode. This case is outstanding. Being that it has a back and edge protective cover that includes a full size magnet, the entire unit is thicker and heavier than the Appple keyboard. But I really like the protection the ESR affords. The magnet in the case/sleeve is strong enough to stick to metal whiteboards, refrigerators, etc. so I can use the ipad "on the wall" for an interactive display, which is a plus. The ability to use the ipad in vertical (portrait) mode is a winner, as when I'm editing a page, I can have the entire page on the screen at once. The lighted keypad is coo, the keys themselves are great. The trackpad is responsive. The case opens and puts the screen at the perfect angle (slightly adjustable) for viewing without glare. This has elevated my use of the ipad and made it into a solid workhorse (screen typing was bothering my wrist). Very please with my purchase and this product.
With this item, ESR should really stand for Extra Special Reliability. Easy to install. Use was straightforward and painless. The iPad enclosure is tight to keep item secured. Keyboard was responsive. Some may find the whole thing heavy, but I just look at it as price I pay for reliable service. My only wish was for the magnet keeping the Apple Pencil in place to be more robust. Anyway, you’ll be pleased with this one.
This case would be perfect IF ESR would make their inner layer hard case interchangeable with their other cases. Here’s why.
I like to use this case when I am at work and need to be productive. However, I like to use a standard folio case when I am at home watching TV or cooking.
It would be nice to be able to take my IPad out of my ESR Rebound Case and magnetically attach it to the ESR Shift Magnetic Case. Making them interchangeable would be amazing.
You could say, “Why not use the ESR Flex Keyboard?”. I could but the downside is the Flex keyboard case is not ideal for using on my lap.
Other notes: The titling hinge does not tilt back far enough. The Magic Keyboard for iPad Air has this issue too. I get it from a balance perspective but let it lean forward a bit and tilt back. Even if it means covering the keyboard a bit. If the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard case can do it, then so can this one.
The Bluetooth still has some latency with mousepad control. Not horrible but it is definitely noticeable.
When I quick detach my IPad, the Bluetooth remains connected so I cannot pull up my on screen keyboard seamlessly between modes.
Those are my main complaints with this product. If you take anything away from this, ESR PLEASE make the inner case shell interchangeable with the ESR Magnetic shift series cases. A match made in heaven!
PROS: The keys are good to type on. LOVE the backlight on the keyboard. Battery life of the keyboard is great. Feels good to type on my lap. Way better value than Magic Keyboard.
Worth every penny, its durable, its so well made and love the trackpad. I love the diversity of the ipad cover, the best investment ever

FAQ
Can I use the stand without the case that it comes with on?
Yes. You can attach a caseless iPad in standard landscape orientation to enjoy a comfortable angle to get stuff done at. To enjoy raised screen view or portrait orientation, you’ll need to use the included back case.
Does it have a back case for the ipad?
Yes. The detachable back case attaches magnetically to the back cover of the keyboard. It features a hard polycarbonate back, shock-absorbing flexible sides, and reinforced corners to keep your tablet safe with or without the keyboard.
If I have my own case on my ipad can I attach it the keyboard stand?
No. The keyboard case is designed to be used with a caseless iPad or the included magnetic back case. It cannot be used with an iPad with another case.
If I use it in portrait will it be as stable as in landscape?
Yes. The keyboard case supports landscape, portrait, and raised screen view. Strong magnets in the back cover line up with those in your iPad and back case to ensure a secure lock and a stable stand. When using your iPad in portrait or raised screen view modes, it must have the included back case on; only landscape mode supports use with a caseless iPad.
How do I connect the bluetooth?
First short press right/left option + B to put the keyboard into pairing mode. Once in pairing mode, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Other Devices and connect to “ESR Keyboard”. Check out the video for full instructions on how to connect your keyboard.
Can I change the brightness of the backlight?
Yes. Press right/left option + backlight key (in top left corner) to turn the backlight on or off and adjust the brightness level (low, medium, high).
My trackpad won’t work. Help!
When AssistiveTouch is enabled, it can cause the trackpad to become unresponsive. To fix this issue, disable AssistiveTouch by going to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Turn off “AssistiveTouch”.
