This ESR band is an excellent active band, made of high density silicone akin to the OEM bands that come with the Apple Watch, but with a quick release clasp that makes putting it on/taking it off a literal snap. It has broad compatibility over the current and recent Apple Watches, and works great with my Series 8. The band itself has almost a satin matte finish, with a brushed stainless steel clasp. It is very comfortable, without the bounce that so many after-market bands have, so it stays in place. I’ve found that the fit is great for exercise and the office, and I particularly like how easy it is to clean - you can wash it and have it dry and ready to go again in no time. The clasp adjustment mechanism is also very clever, with notched holes for incremental adjustments, while still allowing for a secure hold. Overall, this is a great band, and a good investment.
At under $35 this is a reasonably priced, high-quality watch band. The band material is thick yet somehow supple. I would put this on the dressier side of watch bands with the large metal clasp feature. It looks great, attaches securely, and feels comfortable. Although the description describes this band holding up in extreme conditions (which the materials very well may), I’d be cautious of using this for rigorous sports. The latch mechanism uses two small pins that click and hold the band in place, to unlatch you need to squeeze two tiny buttons to release the catch. This works fine, but I don’t see it holding up well to dirt, sand, or debris, and might worry about it breaking free if you are doing rough work with your hands. This hasn’t happened to me yet, but from a design perspective, I think it’s something to consider.I’ve had great experiences with ESR products in the past so expect the quality of this to hold up well. It’s very unique that they provide a measuring tool for your wrist and you set up the band size to fit you exactly. The only issue I don’t like about this approach is that I feel like sometimes my wrist expands/shrinks depending on the weather throughout the day and I like the option to quickly adjust the watch band if it’s too loose or tight. With this design, it’s not as quick and requires you to take the watch off completely.One thing I do appreciate about this design is that it is easy to slip over your wrist and clamp closed. Much quicker than some of the traditional buckle style, or even the original apple watch bands.Overall, a great band (and brand) at a reasonable price. Just be aware of its limitations.
Excellent! I really like this brand, it fails to disappoint. I have their iphone cases, and now I have their watch bands. The clasp is made of steel and seems pretty solid and durable. The adjustability is also very well done, this should fit most wrist sizes. The fit seems just like the original bands that come with the watch. This band makes the watch feel like a much higher quality than the originals. And then one last thing I want to add, and it was very thoughtful of ESR, is that they number the notches so that you don't have to guess which notch you last had it at. Highly recommend this!
